Did Egyptians Travel to South America?

There is an ongoing debate as to whether the ancient Egyptians voyaged to the Americas.  Researchers recently uncovered traces of cocaine and tobacco on Egyptian mummies.  The plants Erythroxylon coca and Nicotiana tabacum are only believed to have grown on the American continents.
